Do I need an appointment?
We are an appointment only store, therefore please visit our 'experiences' tab on our website to make sure you've booked the right one for you.
Due to appointments being booked months in advance, we charge deposits for our appointments, deposits are non refundable and secures your private appointment.
What do I need to bring with me to my bridal appointment?
An open mind! We encourage you to try on different styles of gowns, even if it is the opposite to what you have in mind. Wear underwear you are comfortable and happy in, and ideally wear or bring a strapless bra. Please don't wear fake tan or lipstick as it is very hard to remove from fabrics.
When do I pay for my dress?
A 50% deposit is required to secure your order with all bridal gowns and suits.
When your dress/suit arrives into our shop we will contact you to let you know the exciting news! You will need to book an appointment to try on your gown/suit and settle your remaining balance.
Bridal Gowns can take up to 6 months to arrive. Suits need a minimum of 2.5 weeks to hire.
Optional 'rush order' with certain designers, charged with an extra fee by the designer.
Interest free payment plans are also available.
Sample/sale gowns are paid for in full on day of purchase.
What if I plan to change shape?
We will order your dress according to your measurements at the time of ordering. Our seamstress is happy to offer advice. Our dresses do have seam allowance for weight loss and gain however, each designer is different and will need to be discussed on purchase.
Our suit hire offers next day delivery for change of size the week of your wedding if you have altered from your measurements. *The suit hire company charges a fee for changes.
Do you offer alterations?
We have a very experienced seamstress on hand for all alterations. Alterations are not included in the price of your chosen gown. We would prefer to do all our brides alterations in-house, however, you may collect your gown and source your own tailor if preferred.
You will be quoted a package when you purchase your gown for 'storage and insurance' this includes everything you would need, right up to collection, the day before your wedding day.
We do not offer alterations for gowns not purchased from The Wedding Room.
Have I left it too late to order a dress?
All designers have an ordering time scale when you choose your dress and need it in a certain colour and size. However, our wedding gowns are also available to buy off the peg and include professional dry cleaning.
Certain designers have some sizes in stock of certain gowns, plus they offer a rush fee if needed, this is chargeable by the designer.
My wedding is abroad - Does this restrict my gown choice?
Not at all! We encourage all our brides to choose the dress of their dreams! The Wedding Room team are happy to pack your gown ready to travel for you, we even offer beautifully designed travel boxes which have been made with the exact dimensions of hand luggage for the most popular airlines such as Emirates, Tui, Jet2 and many more. Ensuring your dream dress never leaves your sight and making sure no one can sneak a peek at your wedding gown before the big day.

Can my wedding dress be dry cleaned?
Call in with your gown and we will hopefully be able to have it professionally cleaned for you. Don't worry about how dirty the train is, how many champagne splashes it has on the skirt or the amount of confetti left in your veil, these are all signs of the most wonderful wedding day!!
£175.00 for professional dry cleaning, steaming and packed in to a beautiful handmade ivory box, finished with ivory ribbon, perfect for storage.
£99.00 for dry clean and steam and put back in your gown bag.
